Indeed, education system needs to be revamped. Its the biggest crack down on Colleges claiming them as University or no real value universities.
It is shocking to see the deemed varsity losing their identity for non-performance. Some of the Universities are from Chennai, even the engg colleges included in the list. This practically creates fear with the student who pursue their higher graduations, believing they are in safe hands. Universities for Medical, Dental and Engineering are in big hit.
Many big colleges are now turning into deemed varsities through money, political power but not by their research activities or through excellent education system. The varsity sponsoring group should set strict rules and assess them eventually for to produce excellence in research and sponsor their students project.
When this news was out, many varsities were arranging International conference to regain their varsity identity. It is clear to all that making up such International conference cant bring up education identity, it can be done only through their own initiatives in research.
